Last updated: July 23, 2026 Overview GolfTogether ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to run the community and connect you with local golfers. Information we collect Account & profile: • •Name, email, and password (managed securely by our auth provider). • •Date of birth (used only to verify you're 18+). • •Profile photo, handicap range, play style, hobbies, and a short bio. Activity: • •Groups you post or join, tee times, and round scores you enter. • •Group, direct, and club messages you send. • •Moments (posts) and comments you create, likes, and reactions. • •Friend requests, join requests, and 1–5 star ratings you give or receive. Location: • •Approximate location only when you choose to enable distance-based sorting for nearby tee times. • •Course coordinates you provide when posting a round (used to show distance to other golfers). Technical: • •Device and browser info needed to run the app and keep you logged in. How we use your information • •To create and run your account and profile. • •To show you nearby tee times and let you join or host rounds. • •To deliver your messages, notifications, and tee-time reminders. • •To display ratings and help build a trusted community. • •To moderate content (profanity filtering and image scanning) and enforce our rules. • •To provide support and respond to your reports and requests. What is visible to others Other members can see your name, profile photo, handicap, play style, hobbies, bio, the groups you're in, your Moments, and the ratings others have given you. Your direct messages are only visible to you and the person you're chatting with. We never show your email, password, or date of birth to other users. Content moderation To keep the community safe, messages and images are scanned automatically for profanity and inappropriate content. Inappropriate images are blocked, and flagged messages may be hidden or reported. Reports can lead to warnings or removal from the community. Sharing your information We don't sell your data. We share information only as needed to run the Service — for example, with hosting, authentication, and email delivery providers — and when required by law or to protect the community. Aggregated, de-identified data may be used to improve the app. Data retention & your choices • •Download a copy of your data anytime from Settings → "Download my data." • •Pause your profile to hide yourself from search and discovery while keeping your groups. • •Choose which notifications you receive from Settings. • •Deactivate your account from Settings at any time. We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and protect the community. To fully erase stored data after deactivating, contact us at [email protected]. Children's privacy GolfTogether is not for anyone under 18. We require a date of birth at sign-up and don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we'll remove the account. Your privacy rights Depending on where you live (for example, California, under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to know what data we hold, access it, correct it, request deletion, and opt out of data "sales" or "sharing." Security We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure authentication and encrypted data storage through our platform provider. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and act quickly if an issue is identified. Changes to this policy We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
